Heavens Tea Party

I know, I know, I haven't been around for a bit.  Well I've been around, but I just haven't written on the ole blog.  I've been getting my head around work and also trying to sort out my work room whilst making new items.  Making, taking pictures, listing and such like takes such a large amount of time that after work, the only thing I'm really after is a nice cup of tea.

Nice tie in Lorna.  Why thank you.  OK, so I know that I never really wanted to use the blog as a promo tool.  I have my thoughts about all of the things people tell you to do regarding promotion and a post will be added (I hope) shortly to do with that.

But this post is to add some photos of one of my latest pieces, 'Heavens Tea Party'.

It's a necklace.  A lush necklace.  A necklace for those who love to shine.  There is nothing more attractive than a woman who loves her food, in particular cake and this, this necklace is a celebration of cake!  Cake and tea are my saviour, although don't go telling pocket Jesus.  This necklace is homage to my fantasy that Heaven really throws the best tea parties, mainly because the angels make it so!

More will be included in this Heaven range, bracelets, rings and brooches.  If you're one of those cynics that believe that all makers just throw charms onto a chain and sell with no thought, then think again - I'm not one of those people.  Some of us just don't work in that way.  A great deal of thought goes into my jewellery, part of me and my imagination create these pieces and I always pray that they go to a home that will love them and cherish them and tell the story of the piece hanging around their neck.  It's never just a throw away tale.

If you knew the angel Glory, like I know the angel Glory, you wouldn't take wearing this with a pinch of salt.  She is the tea lady amongst the clouds, the angel of all angels and the one angel that looks pretty hot in a pink tabard. 

She is.... Gods Tea Lady, trolley and all and she is the inspiration behind the angels having their weekly Sunday get together to celebrate all that is cake and tea.  Using her best porcelain baby blue and chintz cups tipped with gold leaf, she takes her job quite seriously.
